Shining Star Kids Salon is a clean, bright, friendly environment where your child will be surrounded by positive thoughts and inspiring words. At Shining Star, we realize that natural hair requires tender loving care. Whether it’s kinky, coily, curly, baby fine or anything in between, our kid-friendly, professional stylists will take excellent care of your child’s hair. For many children (and their parents), just the thought of a child getting their hair done causes anxiety. That is why we provide a comfortable atmosphere where each child is treated with patience, kindness and understanding. For your convenience you can book your appointments on our online booking site. We service kids up to the age of 3 -13 years old. If your child is unable to sit we will be attempted, compromised hair style can be performed. If unsuccessful, deposit is forfeited.

 

Covid 19 Guidelines:

 

The health, safety, and wellbeing of our Shining Stars and Stylist are our highest priority, due to COVID-19 we will not offer hair washing as part of our services. Your child hair MUST be clean and product free washed 48  hours before service, dried, blown thoroughly detangled with no more than four braids or twists. Hair must be free of products. Your appointment will be canceled and deposit forfeited if your child hair is not properly prepared for service. Masks MUST be worn at all times and please wash your hands upon arrival. Failure to comply with salon policies and CDC guidelines will result in immediate termination of services, and deposit forfeited. No refund 

 

Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required upon booking your appointment. All deposits go towards the final cost of the hairstyle chosen. If you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment your deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, your card will be charged 100% of the service price for late cancellations will be charged 100%. Your appointment will be considered a no show if you are 15 minutes late with notification and your card will be charged 100% for the service.

Price is subject to change due to the texture, complexity and length of the hair. We do not duplicate hairstyles. NO extra guest. We strive to provide the best customer service and styles to our shining stars, However, if the child is not able to through the appointment. The stylist will make a reasonable attempt to complete a compromised hairstyle. If the child becomes overly active in the chair and this might result in physical harm to the child or stylist the service will be terminated and deposit forfeited. If the child is unable to wear a mask during the appointment service will be terminated. Deposit will be forfeited. No matter which service is selected at booking we reserve the right to refuse or terminate service at any time. In some instances the child is not ready for the salon experience. We are a salon that caters to children, However it is not the responsibility of the staff members to discipline children, remind them of their manners or correct inappropriate behaviors. Our goal is to run a timely schedule however, due to the nature of our clientele appointment times might run over due to unexpected breaks such as several bathroom rooms etc..

- Hair Shampoo prior to service required
